2021 has been a busy year for royal babies, with lots of exciting announcements from Buckingham Palace.

But what were the new royal baby names given this year?

In 2021 Meghan and Prince Harry announced the birth of their second child, a girl named Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana. Her first name has a royal pedigree, as it is the family nickname given to her royal grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.

Baby Lilibet is the first royal baby to be born in the US.

Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, welcomed their first child in February. They have named their son August Phillip Hawke.

Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi announced the birth of their first child together this year. They have named their daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi.

2021 saw a surprise home birth for Zara Tindal’s new baby. Former rugby player Mike Tindall shared on his podcast the news that the couple’s third child was a boy, named Lucas. He was born safely at their home, after her arrived too quickly for them to make it to hospital.

Pippa Matthews, previously known as Pippa Middleton, is the younger sister of Catherine, The Duchess Of Cambridge. Pippa and her husband James welcomed their second child this year. Pippa had a girl named Grace Elizabeth Jane, who is sister to their first child, Arthur.
