Scientific opinion varies, but it is often thought the evening is an ideal time, because this is when the body's mineral levels fluctuate most. However, it is important to ensure the supplements are taken with your largest meal of the day to maximise nutrient absorption, whether this is your lunch or evening meal.

Yes. Always ensure that tablets or capsules are taken with plenty of liquid to help swallowing and to wash it down. It is not recommended to take tablets or capsules with hot drinks such as tea or coffee, as not only could you burn your mouth if you take too large a sip, but this may also cause the tablet or capsule to disintegrate too early.

Difficulty in swallowing tablets is quite a common experience. Vitabiotics have researched this extensively and recommend after chewing some food (e.g. banana), just before you swallow, pop the tablet into your mouth and swallow it together with the chewed food, followed by some liquid. The throat opens up wider to swallow the chewed food and so the tablet should go down with greater ease. Alternatively, the tablets may be swallowed with thicker liquids such as yoghurts or smoothies.

No, this is not recommended as we have specific liquid and chewable formats for children. Of course, many Vitabiotics' products are for specific adult requirements or life stages, and are therefore not recommended for children. Because of the size of some capsules and tablets, we do not recommend they be taken by children under the age of 12, unless specified otherwise under the directions for use. The WellKid range is designed to support the nutrient needs of children aged 3-12, in kid-friendly formats, such as liquids and soft-jellies.

Yes, Vitabiotics have many products that are gluten-free, these include:

Most of our comprehensive formulas include a range of B vitamins including Folic Acid. Ultra Folic Acid provides 400µg Folic Acid. 

If you are trying to get pregnant, then our Pregnacare Conception combines Folic Acid with carefully-balanced micronutrients to help prepare your body for pregnancy.

If you are pregnant, the Pregnacare range  includes 400µg Folic Acid as recommended by the Department of Health. Pregnacare Plus provides 19 nutrients, including Folic Acid and a special Omega-3 capsule containing 300mg DHA, to support you during pregnancy.

Many of our other products - such as Wellman Gummies and Wellwoman Gummies include Folic Acid as part of their formula. You can see which products include Folic Acid by checking the ingredients listed on each product page under the ‘Nutritional Information’ section.

In many of our ranges we include  alternatives to tablets and capsules - including liquids, gummies, effervescent tablets that dissolve into a nutrient-rich drink and chewables for kids - Gummies include Wellman Gummies, Wellwoman Gummies, Perfectil Hair Crush Gummies and Pregnacare Gummies.

Feroglobin, Osteocare, Wellkid and Pregnacare are all available in a liquid version.

Our effervescent fizz range, which make delicious fizzy drinks, contains Wellman Energy, Wellwoman Energy, Feroglobin Fizz, Ultra Vitamin C Fizz, Osteocare Fizz and Jointace Fizz.

Wellbaby provides a range of drops and liquids, with suitability starting  from birth to four years old.

We are a British company and always aim to keep our manufacturing in the UK to GMP standards.  The vast majority of our products are made in England, which includes our tablet formulations and all of our Liquid and Effervescent products.  We also use facilities in other countries including France, Germany and Switzerland, for a number of our products. Raw materials can be sourced in the UK and across the world, to strict pharmaceutical or food grade standards.

Yes we can deliver to workplaces.

The standard time frame from UK customers is 3 - 5 working days, however, this may vary depending on the time of year and / or exceptional circumstances, such around Black Friday week or the festive season and New year. To check the status of your order you can log into your account and click on the RM tracking number. Your confirmation email will also have the RM tracking link on it.

International delivery has a lead time of 10-12 working days.
